Concerning submissions for I'll read it! Editorial Services . . .

PLEASE: I accept adult Christian novels and short stories ONLY.
I may, on occasion, make an exception, but my expertise and marketing research
has and will continue to focus on the Christian/Inspirational fiction industry.
For general-market novels, children's materials, and works of non-fiction,
check out the editors listed at the Christian PEN.

I accept all genres of Christian novels written for adult audiences.
No children's or juvenile materials please.

I prefer to work with you only after you have listened to the course and have completed the
appropriate rewriting necessary to incorporate the ideas discussed there.
Once that rewrite is complete, I prefer to work with your entire manuscript,
printed onto a hard copy so I can write on it.
I prefer to offer my critique to you on one 90-minute cassette tape.
(Using tapes is what keeps my rates low.)
For a typical critique summary, I will use one 90-minute tape. I will provide this tape,
and will absorb the cost of shipping it to you with your returned manuscript.

I am willing to give you the option of double-siding the pages to save paper
and postage costs, but the manuscript must be double-spaced (at least the first 100 pages).
(Remember: anything submitted to a house or agent MUST be one-sided, double-spaced.)
Please number your pages, show your word count, use a standard 12-point font,
and leave at least one-inch margins all the way around the page.

I'll use a plain pencil to mark your manuscript with easy to read and understand
proofreading symbols and comments.

After we discuss your project and my services, please,
in a securely taped and sturdy cardboard box,
send your entire novel,
your returned questionnaire,
any other pertinent information I requested at our initial consultation,
and a check or money order made out to me (not I'll read it!)
for the complete agreed-upon payment for my services
** including, please, the amount (or sufficient postage)
to return your package back to you.**

Please do not send your only copy of anything.

Please, in e-mail correspondence, clearly state in the subject line why you are writing.
